VASIL GENDOV – MYTH AND REALITY
The controversial biography of Vasil Gendov causes respect with the existence of many “origins“ – the first feature and the first Bulgarian “speaking“ film were his work. He laid the foundations of the current Bulgarian National Film Archive and the Union of the Bulgarian Filmmakers. Along with this exceptional history of pioneering Gendov is a person who stirs much controversy. The film will reveal the complexity of the man, Vasil Gendov, relying on documents and testimonies of the time.
