THREE RESERVISTS
1945. First Bulgarian Army is involved in heavy battles for the liberation of Hungary. Three retired fighters – Ivan, Spiro and Peyo, are traveling to the frontline as an addition. Their inability to carry out the tasks necessary raises laughter, but for their company commander it raises much more of dubiety whether to send them back to Bulgaria…
“Ideally, we would like the viewer to perceive the film from its serious, more dramatic side. However, let’s not assign such expectations to our future audience. Much of the situations, in which the three characters get involved are inked with hidden humor. The viewers are much well familiar with the actors Partsalev and Atanasov from comedy and variety stage. But they might be surprised by their achievements in this particular film. Perhaps nobody ever imagined that George Partsalev could make the role of Sabbatarian… “
